RACE DIRECTOR: Roger Perham Officials: Julian Seigal, Mike Perham, Alex Ball A new course greeted the runners this year. The course was redesigned because the old course had become overgrown in places. Due to the scheduling of a walk on some of the loop in the middle of the race course markings were kept to a minimum. Rain the night before had erased the painted chalk on the dirt. Dave Audet missed the turn into the path at the start. He turned around and caught the others. Steve McAvoy followed the walk arrows after the loop. . . . . Louise walked the course and got assistance from Marge and Dan. A downed log caught Louise’s trail leg as she stepped over it and a deep cut developed. The first aid for the walk took her to Beverly Hospital. She did not do her usual early start because she was picking up calzone at her sister’s store in Beverly. Dan and Sarah went to the hospital with Louise.
